Voting for the 2011 National Homeschool Book Award is now open! Every homeschooler (including students and parents) who read all four of the nominees gets to vote for their favorite book, one vote per person.
There’s still time to read! Voting will remain open through Monday, October 31st. We will post the winner on the NHBA website and send out an email announcement on Friday, November 4th.
To prevent accidental duplicate votes (or spam), voting is an easy two-step process. First, you register to vote and receive an email with a link to your official ballot. Then, just click on the ballot link in your email and you’re ready to submit votes for you, your family or club!
Announcing Next Year’s Nominees
We will be announcing the NHBA nominees for 2011-12 at the same time we announce the winners for this year! This will give everyone more time to read the four books before the next round of voting in 2012.
Book club blogs featuring ideas and activities for each of the new nominees will begin in January, 2012 following the same pattern as this year—four posts for each featured book in January, February, March and April.
Printable Participation Certificates
After you vote, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to participation certificates that you can print at home for your students if you’d like. You can also find the participation certificate PDF here.
Tell Us What You Think
We want to hear what you think about your experience with this first year of the National Homeschool Book Award! We will include a link to a short survey on your voting confirmation email, and you can also complete the survey here. We appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your thoughts and ideas to help us make the award program better for everyone!
